Before I got so into fibers I thought most sheep just looked alike. If I had thought about it I would have realized that it was not true, just look at all the differences in breeds of horses. I present a gallery of fiber animals from Rhinebeck as proof of the varied forms of fiber animals.
When we buy a house here, probably after I finish my Masters degree, I want a house with a barn and enough land for a horse or pony or 2 and some sheep. I have already been assured by 4 friends that if I buy a sheep they will each buy one to keep it company. Sheep prefer to live in flocks and are unhappy if they are solitary. I think I want Shetlands. They are small and easier to handle and come in a variety of beautiful colors.
After putting up the pictures I realized that I missed pictures of bunnies of which there were quite a few for sale at Rhinebeck.
I read Willie's blog and it ROCKED. David and I got such a kick out of it.
