Relaxed

posted Saturday, 10 May 2008

I did it, yep, I did. I had my hair relaxed yesterday. I was tired of dealing with my curly, kinky hair, that was always fuzzy looking so, I made an appointment and had it chemically straightened, or relaxed.

It took 2 hours and 6 bottles of goop to get the job done. At one point 3 of the hair cut people were working on my hair. They had to put the goop on evenly and then comb out my hair. The stuff had to sit on my hair for about 1/2 hour before it was washed off and then neutralized. In all it took about 2 hours from start to finish. My hair feels smooth and lies flat for a change.  It is still thick. It appears longer than it was before but I know that is the difference between being straight and being curly.

I had the work done at Leon Studio One and this is the BEST job of straightening my hair that I have ever had done. When I lived in Illinois I had my hair straightened several times.

I braided my hair today since I was riding and my helmet fits better with a braid, and it braids nicely but I have to braid a little tighter for it to stay in. I can wear my hair down and I don't have to restrain it, it stays nicely in place. YEA. A picture will be up tomorrow.

Thursday Marieke and I finished reseting the fence posts, and then Marieke and Ryan got them true and the Sakcrete in before it rained. After the concret cures we will have to put up the square mesh wire fencing and the boards at the top of the fence. Once that and the strand of electric fence is up then Winston and Pansy will be out all day and the stallions, Versace and Van Gogh will be out all night. Everyone will be much happier.

The origonal plan was for me to ride Utah in the clinic, but it was a wild day at the barn and I ended up riding Winston instead. I had a really good lesson and am looking forward to riding again in the morning.
I think I am riding both Winston and Pansy tomorrow.
