Still Franticly Busy

posted Wednesday, 2 April 2008

I am still franticly busy workingon my album and increasingly on coronation. I am pretty sure my album is not going to be finished to be turned in on time, but I am still pushing to get as much done this week as I can.

To let you know how busy I am, here was my schedule yesterday. Drop James off at ECC and then be at work by 8:40. We had 10 toddlers yesterday, having an additional student because Kai who was attending 3 days a week is now 5 days a week. The class was a bit chaotic as we were also planting seeds. After work I went to the barn, cleaned Versace's stall and brought him in, turned Pansy out and cleaned her stall and Utah's.  I also checked on the outside horses and refilled water buckets.

Then I went and got gas for the truck and continued my search for rubber boots to wear when we go out at school. I finally found them at Walmart. Then home to work on my album for an hour and a half.
Here is a picture of the constructive triangles small hexagon box when all the pieces are layed out according to the presentation

The indirect aims are to develop familiarity with different shapes, to perpare for geometry and to develop concentration and perception.

These are fun to play with. There are more constructive triangle materials. There is the triangle box, the large hexagon box and 2 rectangle boxes.
Here is the small hexagon box with all the forms constructed:

I have finished the constructive triangle portion of my album and am moving on to color tablets and the binomial, trinomial and monomial cubes.

After I worked on my album yesterday, I did a little sewing putting together my del that I intend to wear to coronation in a week and a half. The prince and princess are having a mongolian reign.

Then I went back to the barn to bring in Pansy and feed. Back home for dinner and then out to the barony meeting so I could beg for volunteers for coronation.

When I got home I discovered I didn't have all the pictures I need to the color tablets or the bi/tri/monomal cubes, so I went to bed after reading another Montessori article I need to summarize.
Today starts the same as yesterday up through going to the barn after work.  but then I have to go back to school to take more pictures for my album. I will also work on my summary since the barn is closer to school than home, I will not come home until after I bring Pansy back in. Tonight is more album work and some sewing. I have to get James' del finished before coronation as well. In fact his is more important since he is on Her Highness's rapier guard.

Gotta run. Have a great day.
