3 in one

posted Tuesday, 10 February 2009

Yesterday, I managed to work on 3 of my knitting projects. I worked on the commuter socks while on the train, I am to the heel flap on the first sock. Since last week I drove to work because of the wretched cold, I haven't gotten too much time in on these socks. I am driving in again today, so I don't know if I will make much progress.
Gayle and Cori came over for dinner and some hang out time yesterday and afterdinner while we were sitting around the table I pulled out the entrelac wrap, of course I had to explain the whole it represents the Montessori language curriculum to Cori.

Ellen, I want to teach myself how to knit back, but I haven't learned how to do that yet. That might be a project for this weekend or next week.

Gayle helped me wind the new skein of yarn for Marieke's Shetland Shawl. I finished the 3rd side of the border but have not yet started the 4th side. Another project for this weekend and next week.
So, what is so special about next week? We have our Midwinter break, no school for a week, which will give me lots of time to work on knitting and Montessori. I am also going to take a trip down to Bradfrd with James.

We are in a great warm up, many people are sayng that this is our January thaw coming late. Today the high is 50 and tomorrow 60 before we go back to highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid to upper 20s on Thursday.

My camera has been ordered, so look for more pictures soon.

 HAve a great day.

I learned how to knit backwards on a tutorial online. It is fairly easy. But I felt that I could get confused sort of. Kind of.
